“We got our basement spray foamed and I could not believe how accommodating Conrad was with scheduling the job for us. Cory and Lennie came out and did an awesome job of applying and cleaning up the house when they were finished. They had to come back to finish, they took their time and applied the foam properly. We had a couple of colder nights right after they finished, it was a good test of the insulation. The house is so much warmer. I would recommend Magnus construction for your spray foam job. The price was competitive and I read up on the product they used and I believe it is better than some competitors offer. Thank you!” -  Jim B., Saskatoon

I am a repeat customer from two years ago. We just had the guys in again and they were courteous, neat and did a fine job. I would definitely have the guys back again and will suggest them to family and friends looking for someone to supply their insulation needs!” - Ward S., Saskatoon

“Conrad/Magnus team was highly recommended to us by our realtor for the asbestos abatement and insulation of the attic. He explains thoroughly what they need to do and provides you some options to explore/consider. He understood my timeline and did their best to meet my deadline. I could say they did a wonderful job! Thank you to the whole team!” - John R.

We encourage you to visit Magnus' listing on Trusted Saskatoon to see all their services and to find their contact details. Questions? 10 IT Management Predictions From Trusted Saskatoon IT Pro’s at Burnt Orange Solutions

Gareth McKee and his Trusted Saskatoon IT team at Burnt Orange Solutions promise to have a one-hour response time for all your IT support needs. Honesty and respect are important to them. They pride themselves on ensuring their clients understand IT concerns by providing a straightforward and reliable solution with exceptional service.

Burnt Orange Solutions are your Trusted Saskatoon IT Experts and in their latest Saskatoon IT expert tip, Gareth shares 10 predictions for the future of IT Management.

10 PREDICTIONS FOR THE FUTURE OF IT MANAGEMENT

With today’s emerging digital business opportunities, IT management needs to be aligned with business strategy in order to be responsive and adaptable. In order to compete, businesses will need IT to provide strategic value to deliver innovative products and services.

Here are ten predictions for the future of IT management from Gareth, owner of Burnt Orange Solutions  :

1. Businesses will be reliant on cloud technology to remain viable.

In the future, 98 percent of business data will be stored in the cloud rather than traditional company data centers.

2. Everything-as-a-Service dynamic will take over.

Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS) dynamic is superior because IT is managed as an ever-changing product that is highly conducive to innovation. Cloud computing models such as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) models will become less popular.

3.Risk management, cybersecurity, and remote work will be prioritized for businesses.

As a result of these priorities, IT networks will need to be optimized for resilience in order to support businesses with regard to these priorities.

4. China will likely be in the process of building the first 6G networks.

Therefore, 5G wireless networks will have evolved to deliver high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to power advanced industrial internet of things (IoT).

5. Advanced edge computing will be prevalent.

This will provide real-time local data processing which will enhance IoT systems and reduce traffic in the cloud network. Machines will be communicating and making decisions without human intervention, and mechanisms will exist that will fix problems on their own.

6. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) will be common.

VR and AR will exist in many business environments including warehouses, as well as in employee training programs of various types.

7. Sources for analytics will diversify.

Having diverse sources to obtain analytics data will improve machine learning algorithms and make for stronger predictions to form better decision making.

8. Roles such as data entry, customer service, and manufacturing will become obsolete.

Advances in AI, robotics, and automation, improve productivity and efficiency for businesses. Jobs that do not even exist yet will fill any voids.

9. Network visibility and cybersecurity will be exponentially improved.

All network endpoints will be monitored from a single interface through unified endpoint management platforms.

10. GDPR-inspired federal data privacy laws will be enacted.

These laws will exist in most industrialized nations, and compliance with these laws will make data security management a top priority for every business.

As services become increasingly automated, the primary role of IT will shift in order to support business strategies. IT’s focus will be to integrate business systems, accelerate product development, and ultimately improve customer experience for businesses. Employees will have the ability to implement their own technology solutions through low-and no-code development platforms, so IT will need to be consultants in supporting businesses navigating their own IT functions.

We hope this article gave you some insight. If you want to ensure your business’s IT security, contact the Trusted Saskatoon IT professionals at Burnt Orange Solutions and we can take IT worries off your plate.

Trusted Saskatoon Plumbers at JOB Have Tips to Reduce Water Heater Expenses

JOB Heating & Air Conditioning Saskatoon is eager to provide the best possible customer experience. Their aim is to be a professional resource for our clients before, during, and after the sale! Their team takes pride in service knowledge of modern equipment and training. They are recognized by peers and offer sales, service, training & installations for residential, and commercial Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing systems in Saskatoon and area. In their latest article on water heaters, they share tips on how to reduce water heater energy bill expenses.

Tips to Reduce Water Heater Energy Bill Expenses

Water heaters account for nearly 20% of the average home energy bill. In fact, the only appliance that costs more to run than your water heater is your furnace. If you are looking to cut costs on your energy bill, water heaters are worth paying special attention to. Learn tips to reduce your water heater energy bill expenses from the experts at JOB Heating & Air Conditioning.

1. Insulate your hot water heater tank and pipes.

If you have a hot water heater tank, ensure it is insulated. Not only does tank insulation prevent heat loss, but it also lowers the risk of fire in the home. The same goes for your hot water heater pipes. If the pipes are not insulated, your water heater has to work harder to heat water. In order to conserve heat energy, it is recommended that you insulate a minimum of 6 feet of piping.

2. Lower the thermostat temperature on your hot water heater.

When your hot water heater comes from the manufacturer, chances are the thermostat will be set to 140 F (60 C). However, a thermostat setting of 120 F (48.88 C) is the hottest you should require. Having a lower thermostat temperature will reduce the risk of mineral buildup and will extend the overall life of your water heater.

3. If your hot water heater is older, be sure to add heat traps.

Heat traps are valves that trap heat energy that would otherwise be lost and can reduce your energy bill by up to $30 each month. Newer hot water heaters will come with heat traps already installed, so it is best to consider an upgraded unit rather than installing heat traps on your existing unit if your current hot water heater may be nearing the end of its life.

4. Use a timer on your hot water heater.

Traditional water heaters typically heat water all night long, which is very inefficient considering you do not use hot water at night. If you do not have a tankless water heater, installing a timer will give your water heater a rest and save you money.

5. Install low-flow faucets in your home.

Though this may seem like a bit of an investment, replacing your faucets with low-flow options can reduce annual hot water usage in your home by up to 60 percent. Installing low-flow faucets will ensure more money stays in your pocket.

6. Schedule maintenance service for your hot water heater.

Often, homeowners will maintain their own hot water heater tank, including draining and cleaning the unit themselves. This often leads to problems and ends up costing more money. It is best to let an experienced professional maintain your hot water heater.

Let the experts at JOB Heating & Air Conditioning ensure your water heater is not costing you more than it should. Schedule your maintenance service today.

Trusted Saskatoon Furnace & Air Experts at JOB Discuss the Effects of Clogged Air Filters

In their latest article, they talk about the effects of a clogged air filter on air conditioning systems.

JOB Heating & Air Conditioning Saskatoon Are Trusted Saskatoon Air Conditioning Pros.

The Effects of a Clogged Air Filter on Air Conditioning Systems

Clogged air filters are the primary cause of cooling system problems. Is it time to replace your air filter? Learn the effects a clogged air filter has on Air Conditioning systems from the experts at JOB Heating & Air Conditioning.

Clogged Air Filters Cause Air Conditioning Units to Work Overtime

When the air filter is clogged with dirt and debris, the Air Conditioning unit must work harder. This is to compensate for the blockage of airflow. When the air filter is dirty, the Air Conditioning unit must work overtime and is not effective at cooling the home. Replacing the air filter every 3 months will protect an Air Conditioning unit from becoming damaged, and can eliminate potential failure.

Clogged Air Filters Increase Energy Consumption

Clogged air filters increase energy consumption, which leads to higher energy bills. Because air conditioning systems rely on a blower fan to recirculate air, a dirty air filter can use up to 15% more energy. The more clogged the air filter is, the harder the fan has to work to draw cool air throughout the home. A clean air filter will allow the air conditioning system to function efficiently, resulting in both energy and cost savings.

Clogged Air Filters Cause Inadequate Cooling of Your Home

Air conditioning systems rely on a blower fan to recirculate air. When the air filter is clogged with dust and debris, the blower fan must work harder to pass air through. This results in reduced airflow. When airflow is reduced due to a clogged air filter, the air conditioning system must work harder to cool the home. The air conditioning system will also have to run longer in order to cool the home to the desired temperature level.

Clogged Air Filters Contribute to Poor Air Quality

When the air filter is clogged, it allows dust and debris to be recirculated back into the home. Poor indoor air quality results in allergies and is problematic for people with respiratory conditions. Replacing the air filter ensures the air conditioning system will recirculate the cleanest air possible. A fresh air filter from JOB Heating & Air Conditioning will result in improved indoor air quality for you and your family this summer.

At JOB Heating and Air Conditioning, we fix, maintain, service, sell and install all brands of residential and commercial air conditioning units to Saskatoon and the surrounding area. To get your air filter replaced and keep your air conditioning unit operating at peak performance, simply contact JOB today. We guarantee to have you cooled down and comfortable in no time!
