Morning cleanse - While you sleep, your skin detoxes! You need to remove the residue, oil build up and toxins left on the skin! Also - unless your hair is perfectly clean when you go to sleep, you are sleeping on the pillow that is likely filled with hair product residue! (Might make sense to a few of you who have odd breakouts that you can't explain!)

Evening cleanse - Your face through the day, is covered with makeup, sunscreen, dirt, oil & other toxins. Removing this build up is a very important step to maintaining healthy skin! (Also, a clean face helps product penetrate better, prevents clogging of pores & aids in light exfoliation!)

*I suggest using a clean washcloth or cotton pad, to remove all cleanser, oil & dirt. Keep in mind that rinsing with just water, will likely just dilute your cleanser and leave dirt & oil on the skin! Don't believe me? Try cleansing a makeup filled face with cleanser, rinse with water, and THEN try using a clean cotton pad. Notice you will likely have oil & dirt upon the second cleansing!!

1. How was the greeting/ welcome/ call answered?

I called in on a Tuesday morning as I hadn't slept well the night before and was hoping I could sneak in for at least a massage. I know they get busy, so it was a long shot.  I was thrilled when they said they could get me in for a massage and a facial, the receptionis was so friendly and accomodating on the phone and also when I arrived in person.

2. If retail: Appearance of the store / staff and showroom? 

The spa is spotless and beautifully presented, lots of lovely things to loook at on the shelves from make up to lotions, bags,jewellry and gifts and I was lead in to a small and comfortable lounge to fill out some client forms. All the staff were wearing clean uniforms and they looked really professional.

3. Product/industry knowledge of staff? T

he girl that did my facial asked questions about my skin and issues and she explained the options and recommended a deep moisture facial- she told me I couldhave additions and I took everyuthing. I don't get to treat myself very often!  When I had my massage it was exactly the same process , and this ensured I got exactly what i wanted / needed

4. If a quote is required is the quote well laid out/ clear?

Everything was laid out very clearly .

5. Did they ask where you found them?

Not on phone or in person , but the forms had a spot where they asked.

6. Overall experience 1-10.

8.5 for the facial because the the room was a little cold , which made the products a little cold - I did tell the girl and she turned the bed heater up under my legs , and tucked my feet in , but I was still chilly- it was a very cold day, and I wasn't freezing, but it did make the experience less relaxing than it would have been if the room had been 3-4 degrees warmer. The products were great and the technician did a great job - she didn't talk very much so I could relax ( only to ask if I was comfortable) and she never left my side - when my masq was setting she massaged my hands, arms and head. My pet hate is when I am left alone or the person doing a treatment just sits there for 10 mins doing nothing. The Just For You experience was excellent!

10 for the massage - Andrea was amazing - the room was perfect temperature and I have to say I got one of the best massages I have ever had. I went in with sore , stiff shoulders and back and I came out feeling so relaxed..she had got most of the knots out . I rebooked with her for the following week!

7. Would you return as a customer/ recommend them to close friends?

Yes , yes , Yes - Andrea is going to be MY massage therapist from now on! The spa is lovely the treatmnets are really great

8. Did anyone stand out as exceptional? If so who? Why?

Andrea was amazing - can't fault anything.

9. If you made a purchase/booked a job how was the process?

If so refer to the Trusted Guarantees and give an overall mark on each if applicable.

1. Provide the service and quality promised. - 9.5 just that cold room , everything else was great

2. Complete the job on time.  10 - they fit me in at short notice and I got my full treatment time!

3. Charge the price quoted with NO surprises. 10

5. Resolve any issues with customer satisfaction in mind. 9.5  - The girl doing facial should have offered me another blanket and probably should have warmed up products in her hands or something before applying

I think Just For You Day spa is definitely a Trusted Saskatoon spa , I was so impressed and I am going back

COMMENTS FROM THE TRUSTED TEAM-

We spoke to Jess Tetu the owner of Just For You Day Spa and told her she had been mystery shopped - She apologised profusely for the cold room issue and explained that the staff had mentioned to her that that room was cold and that a client had complained the day the Mystery Shopper was in. They now have an additional heater in that room and all products used in facial are now warmed up by having their containers placed in warm water in the treatment rooms sink prior to application to ensure that cold lotions are applied! We were thrilledthat Jess was so responsive - no excuses just positive action - exactly what we expect from a Trusted partner!

HEATHERS EDGEWATER SPA EXPERIENCE!

" It was a dreary Monday morning and I had booked into Edgewater Spa for a massage, facial, and a mini-manicure, thinking that this would be a great pick me up to start the week….then I never wanted to go home!

It started with a one hour relaxation massage that melted away the stresses and strains, and left me feeling better than I had in weeks! The atmosphere in the spa is incredibly relaxing, and the therapist was amazing… I really felt that I was in great hands. As the massage ended, the facial began. Again, the simultaneous feelings of relaxation and rejuvenation completely made me lose track of time and space… I was just in this lovely little world of my own. I may have even started to drool when the scalp massage began! When that was complete, my over-used digits got a beautiful trim and polish, and my three hours of bliss were up!

Now when my fiance wants to know what to get for me….my answer remains the same… GET ME A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO EDGEWATER SPA!"

SARA'S EDGEWATER SPA EXPERIENCE

"Oh boy was I ever looking forward to this..my back and shoulders ache from hunching over and typing blogs on my computer in the office 24 / 7 for a year ( or so it feels like) and I was starting to look decidedly pale and washed out...no time for R & R or the gym..first year in business equals 80 hour weeks and lots of stress!

Knowing that I had to arrive ' sans-makeup' was freaking me out..what if someone saw me dashing from the parking space on Broadway to the door .....looking like CRAP...I decided to wear big sunglasses and a hat...If you haven't been in Edgewater Spa before you may be surprised how BIG it is, and how many nice things it has to look at ( Spa Ahava also has TONS of amazing jewellry and accessories) ..arriving early meant doing a little shopping and I found 2 really awesome scarves and a cool hat ...

My selected treatments were an Austrian Moor Herbal Bath , a PURIFYING FACIAL, an Eyebrow/ eyelash tint and a SPRAY TAN ..I was excited ( not quites sure what an Austrian Moor was ..but it sounded interesting and I am game for everything that involves a bath and relaxing)

The Herbal mud bath was amazing .. imagine  lying in a big jacuzzi tub in a cozy candlelit room filled with wonderful steaming hot water infused with fragrant light purple herbs, mud and dozing off to soothing music ..and NO KIDS BANGING ON THE DOOR..20mins of Heaven..followed by being wrapped in a cocoon of warm blankets for 40mins in a dark room .....

I was snoring loudly when they snuck back into the room and gently woke me up....relaxed doesn't seem to describe how chilled I was at this point ..I felt like I had gone from hard spaghetti to a cooked soft noodle in 1 short hour...ahhhhh HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to all you busy mums out there!

Next came the hour long facial which was bliss..and included hand a foot massage ..LOVE YOU MELISSA!! The Eyebrow and eyelash tinting was something i had never done before ...I found it to be quick, painless and was thrilled that all of a sudden I looked alive ..even though I was wearing no make up...my skin was glowing too after the facial... SWEET!

The last treatment was an airbrush spray tan by hand.....it was done in a spray tan booth in front of  3 ladies ( 1 spraying and 2 in training ' observing ' )- I am European and not shy so opted for nude instead of paper knickers( after 3 kids any shyness disappeared and don't want white lines after all!)  and then I was  asked if I minded an audience (n the 2 traineees)  ..heck it's free carry on!

Have to admit It was a bit tough breathing in and tensing for 10 mins to ' look my best ' whilst getting sprayed ,...and I was thinking I may have acted hastily deciding on the dark option....but when I was done and looked in the mirror I was thrilled..I looked beach tanned, relaxed and at least 5 years younger than when I had walked in..I strolled out after leaving a great tip ...no hat or glasses on the way out!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Edgewater Spa..thanks Melissa for an awesome pamper session...your staff are kind, friendly, well trained and a pleasure to spend 4 hours with! "

What a nice surprise when Sara called me witthe news...I never have time to go to get pampered!

On the day of the treatments  I was greeted warmly and very pleasantly surprised to find my technician was waiting for me and I was quickly offered refereshments, I was led to a room with soft music and a lovley  ambience and was treated to an amazing foot massage and a pedicure ...and to my delight the color lasted without chips for at least 6 weeks!!!!

I seriously can't wait to go for the next treatment!! I highly recommend Edgewater Spa to everyone! Thumbs up!
