Sometimes though the job is made really, really easy for us..and recently was one of those occasions!
The Trusted team were contacted by Melissa Hampson, the owner of Spa Ahava and Edgewater Spa's 2 of Saskatoon BEST Spas..and definitely 2 of the most highly recommended and loved spas in Toon Town! There is a Reason that they deserve their place together and individually as Trusted SASKATOON SPAS .
Melissa trains her staff to a very high standard, and as business increases so does the number of employees at both of her Broadway based Saskatoon Spas ...what this means is training more staff..and before they are let loose on any paying clients they must prove they can do everything really well on human guineau pigs....thats where the Trusted team comes in!
Melissa asked if the 3 of us in Saskatoon ( sorry Regina Trusted Consultants!) could help out by having a day of 3 or 4 treatments each at the huge and fabulous Edgewater Spa on Broadway....
After carefully looking over our calendars to see if we could squeeze a pamper day into our 3 busy schedules ( ARE YOU KIDDING ME..A FREE PAMPER DAY OF SPA TREATMENTS ...MOVE EVERYTHING to accomodate!) we said yes!!

HEATHERS EDGEWATER SPA EXPERIENCE!
" It was a dreary Monday morning and I had booked into Edgewater Spa for a massage, facial, and a mini-manicure, thinking that this would be a great pick me up to start the week….then I never wanted to go home!
It started with a one hour relaxation massage that melted away the stresses and strains, and left me feeling better than I had in weeks! The atmosphere in the spa is incredibly relaxing, and the therapist was amazing… I really felt that I was in great hands. As the massage ended, the facial began. Again, the simultaneous feelings of relaxation and rejuvenation completely made me lose track of time and space… I was just in this lovely little world of my own. I may have even started to drool when the scalp massage began! When that was complete, my over-used digits got a beautiful trim and polish, and my three hours of bliss were up!
Now when my fiance wants to know what to get for me….my answer remains the same… GET ME A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO EDGEWATER SPA!"

SARA'S EDGEWATER SPA EXPERIENCE
"Oh boy was I ever looking forward to this..my back and shoulders ache from hunching over and typing blogs on my computer in the office 24 / 7 for a year ( or so it feels like) and I was starting to look decidedly pale and washed out...no time for R & R or the gym..first year in business equals 80 hour weeks and lots of stress!
Knowing that I had to arrive ' sans-makeup' was freaking me out..what if someone saw me dashing from the parking space on Broadway to the door .....looking like CRAP...I decided to wear big sunglasses and a hat...If you haven't been in Edgewater Spa before you may be surprised how BIG it is, and how many nice things it has to look at ( Spa Ahava also has TONS of amazing jewellry and accessories) ..arriving early meant doing a little shopping and I found 2 really awesome scarves and a cool hat ...
My selected treatments were an Austrian Moor Herbal Bath , a PURIFYING FACIAL, an Eyebrow/ eyelash tint and a SPRAY TAN ..I was excited ( not quites sure what an Austrian Moor was ..but it sounded interesting and I am game for everything that involves a bath and relaxing)
The Herbal mud bath was amazing .. imagine lying in a big jacuzzi tub in a cozy candlelit room filled with wonderful steaming hot water infused with fragrant light purple herbs, mud and dozing off to soothing music ..and NO KIDS BANGING ON THE DOOR..20mins of Heaven..followed by being wrapped in a cocoon of warm blankets for 40mins in a dark room .....
I was snoring loudly when they snuck back into the room and gently woke me up....relaxed doesn't seem to describe how chilled I was at this point ..I felt like I had gone from hard spaghetti to a cooked soft noodle in 1 short hour...ahhhhh HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to all you busy mums out there!
Next came the hour long facial which was bliss..and included hand a foot massage ..LOVE YOU MELISSA!! The Eyebrow and eyelash tinting was something i had never done before ...I found it to be quick, painless and was thrilled that all of a sudden I looked alive ..even though I was wearing no make up...my skin was glowing too after the facial... SWEET!
The last treatment was an airbrush spray tan by hand.....it was done in a spray tan booth in front of 3 ladies ( 1 spraying and 2 in training ' observing ' )- I am European and not shy so opted for nude instead of paper knickers( after 3 kids any shyness disappeared and don't want white lines after all!) and then I was asked if I minded an audience (n the 2 traineees) ..heck it's free carry on!
Have to admit It was a bit tough breathing in and tensing for 10 mins to ' look my best ' whilst getting sprayed ,...and I was thinking I may have acted hastily deciding on the dark option....but when I was done and looked in the mirror I was thrilled..I looked beach tanned, relaxed and at least 5 years younger than when I had walked in..I strolled out after leaving a great tip ...no hat or glasses on the way out!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Edgewater Spa..thanks Melissa for an awesome pamper session...your staff are kind, friendly, well trained and a pleasure to spend 4 hours with! "

What a nice surprise when Sara called me witthe news...I never have time to go to get pampered!
On the day of the treatments I was greeted warmly and very pleasantly surprised to find my technician was waiting for me and I was quickly offered refereshments, I was led to a room with soft music and a lovley ambience and was treated to an amazing foot massage and a pedicure ...and to my delight the color lasted without chips for at least 6 weeks!!!!
I seriously can't wait to go for the next treatment!! I highly recommend Edgewater Spa to everyone! Thumbs up!
