We would like to draw attention to Hairstyle Inn a Trusted Saskatoon salon and their ongoing commitment to helping the kids of low income families in Saskatoon to have a better and more magical Christmas.  with their TLC @ Home program( Facebook page here)

Hairstyle Inn - TLC@Home 2012 - Looking for your HELP!

"To touch the life of a child in such a way as to love, care for, inspire, motivate and to give hope of opportunities by which they can improve their life and those around them."

The HairStyle Inn Salons Team had a desire to contribute to the community in which they work and live. So in 2006, in keeping with the Christmas spirit, the inception of TLC@home was born. Their program Touching Lives of Children @ Home has been able to provide a shoebox gift to children at one of participating city schools in Saskatoon for the past 5 years. For the last years they were able to give a Christmas shoebox gift to all the children at Princess Alexander School.

This year, with the help of our community partners, Global TV & Cameco, they will reach 3-4 schools with gift boxes for approximately 600-800 kids, including Princess Alexandra Community School, the original school. They are excited with the growth of the program and are looking to take it to the next level whereby they can set up scholarships and funding that can provide opportunities for these children that they otherwise would not have. They would be delighted if you would like contribute to the T.L.C. @ Home program this year. All contributions, in their entirety, go the children of TLC@home.

They can be dropped off at any of the Canada Safeway locations.

The TLC Gift box is a Christmas gift box that goes out to the children at participating city schools.

Each box is packed full of treasures & love and has the child’s first name on the box. This is their gift.

The schools provide us with a list of students by grade.

Following are a list of items that we recommend for each box:

Campbell Homes a Saskatoon Home Builder Expert have a Trusted Tip on PINK WOOD, what it does and why you want it!

posted by Trusted Saskatoon    |   January 22, 2012 11:17

At Campbell Custom Homes their customers are number one. Their objective is your satisfaction and they guarantee that from the first conversation, throughout the building process, and even after you have moved into your new home that your needs are their priority…they are currently in the news due to the PINK HOUSE Campaign…which was the owner Jason Campbell’s idea….the house is the first PINK WOOD House to be built in Saskatchewan…and many proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Saskatoon Breast Health Centre….here Campbell Home shares a Trusted Tip that explains what’s so special about PINK WOOD…and why you should want your dream home built using it!!!

PINKWOOD ENGINEERED WOOD PRODUCTS

Helping to Provide Healthier, Safer Homes for Families Wood is a fantastic building material. It is lightweight, strong, economical and renewable. It is however, very susceptible to fire. Add to this the growing number of cases involving mold found in homes due to moisture being trapped in the building envelope, and you can see why PinkWood is the smart choice for today’s homes. PinkWood uses a revolutionary, factory applied coating process, designed specifically to provide a visible and effective barrier against fire, mold, fungus and rot. These are not the things you think about when you are building your dream home. All PinkWood building products are coated with PinkShield™, a non-toxic, environmentally friendly technology. PinkShield™ coated products resist the growth of mold and rot fungus while providing added fire protection to your home through the use of integrated fire retardants.

PINKSHIELD

PinkShield is a non-toxic protective coating that when exposed to flame, creates an endothermic reaction that significantly slows the time to ignition of the coated material and decreases the rate at which the fire spreads. PinkShield's chemistry is specifically designed to inhibit the growth of mold while at the same time reducing moisture absorption and improving weatherability. PinkShield additives meet all the categorization criteria set out by the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.

FIRE RESISTANT

Fire protection is one of the largest issues facing the building industry today. PinkShield addresses the issue, as it contains specialized fire retardants designed to reduce the chance of fire starting and slows the burn if a fire does start…. Jason Campbell was a Fireman before he started Campbell Homes, and he knows what a difference Pink wood makes for the safety of the family inside the house..and the fireman who attend house fires…..the key in success when it comes to a house fire is TIME…..with normal home fires you have 15 mins tops before the structure is beyond saving…..so this protects property and lives! For healthier, safer homes - trust PinkWood and protect the things that matter most.

MOISTURE RESISTANT

During the construction process, building products are exposed to moisture in the form of snow and rain. The PinkShield coating used on PinkJoists encapsulates the wood components, helping to repel water in order to protect the structural integrity of our products during the construction phase of homes.

HEALTHY, MOLD FREE

Recent research has proven mold contamination in homes is associated with an increase of serious health issues ranging from allergy symptoms to severe respiratory damage. The PinkShield coating technology used on every PinkJoist effectively prevents the growth of harmful molds, making homes healthier places to live For healthier, safer homes - trust PinkWood and protect the things that matter most.

They are your TRUSTED SASKATOON INSURANCE EXPERTS

Conexus Insurance Trusted Tip

They would like to share an Insurance tip on preparing for Winter travel with the members of the public and the large Trusted partners network.

With the winter travel season now upon us, it is important to know your heating system requirements while you’re away to ensure you are properly insured for water damage due to freezing. Did you know, if you’re away from your premises (approx 4 – 14 days depending on your insurance company) during the normal heating season, you must do one of three things.

1.You must shut off the water supply and drain all pipes, attached fixtures, and appliances, or

2.Have a reliable and competent person come in daily to check the heating, or

3.have your dwelling electronically monitored 24 hours per day by a company that monitors and responds to a low temperature signal.

If you do not, your insurance company may not cover loss or damage caused by freezing, or the resulting water damage.

We recommend reviewing your policy wordings to confirm the heating system requirements of your policy.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us anytime 652-1816.

Find Conexus at 101-703 Circle Dr. E,, or check out their listing here in the SASKATOON INSURANCE category on THE Saskatoon directory of excellence. They are YOUR Trusted SASKATOON INSURANCE experts !

Trusted Saskatoon brags about OBASA SUITES ..the second Trusted Hotel listing on the SASKATOON DIRECTORY of excellence

posted by Trusted Saskatoon    |   January 8, 2012 12:59

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL FROM US HERE AT TRUSTED

www.trustedsaskatoon.com is proud to welcome it's latest Trusted Business to get the ' Thumbs up' from both the Saskatoon and Regina directory of excellence.

Obasa suites, Obasa Premier Suites and Obasa Executive suites become our first Regina and second Saskatoon Hotel listings...and we are extremely proud to have them as a Trusted Partner.

Trusted believes they offer a wonderful alternative to the ' standard' hotel for those travellers and visitors staying more than a few days in Saskatoon or Regina. Perhaps you are moving to one of the cities from other parts of Canada or abroad and you have yet to find yourself and your family a permanent home......maybe you have a temporary work position or a company project that means you need a place for more than a week...even if you have family members visiting and no spare rooms to offer in your own home you can be assured Obasa will offer you a wonderful alternative....the clients of Obasa we spoke to simply wouldn't stay anywhere else..See their listing in Hotels and accomodation and read their testimonials that the clients of Obasa agreed to share click then scroll to the Obasa Listing here!

Lets face it once the initial adjustments and excitement wear off, standard hotel rooms offer little to a more permanent guest and renting a house or standard apartment come with responsibilties and 'minimum contracts', and staying with a friend or family member may not be ideal either ( especially with kids) ...to sum it up in one phrase Obasa offers a ' Home away from home' with the addition of maid service and all of the other mundane ' household responsibilities' taken care of...in the case of the executive suites ( especially their loft penthouse suite in Saskatoon) they offer luxury accomodation, with all of the best decor, appliances and wonderful location that would rival any hotel...or home!!

So, lets talk about the elephant in the room..what does it cost vs a hotel ? Well first you must take in to account what you would pay for the hotel room...then if you are more than 2 or 3 people you may need to have 2 rooms or a more expensive suite... add meals every day in restaurants, parking etc..Obasa have it all laid out on their website here ...and they come in very reasonable..especially when you are talking 3 weeks or more..

Obasa Premier Suites cares about providing superior customer service to every client. Their friendly and knowledgeable Corporate Account Managers, Reservation Specialists, and Client Service Specialists will make doing business with them a refreshingly pleasant experience. They guarantee it!
